PRIVACY POLICY - INTERNET SPEED TEST (Speed Test) Developer: Albonik (albonik.com) App ID: com.albonik.speedtest Policy URL: https://albonik.com/privacy-policy/speedtest.txt Last updated: October 9, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how the "Internet Speed Test" mobile app ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. 1. SUMMARY - We do not ask you to create an account. - We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, files or precise location. - Your test history is stored only on your device. - The App uses third-party speed test servers (Cloudflare, M-Lab) and a third-party ad network (Unity LevelPlay), which process some technical data as described below. 2. INFORMATION PROCESSED WHEN YOU RUN A SPEED TEST When you tap Start, the App connects to a test server to measure download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter. To do this, the test server necessarily receives: - your IP address, - basic connection and request data (such as device/browser type and timing), - the test traffic itself (random data used only to measure speed). You can choose between two test engines: a) Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com). Data is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ b) M-Lab (Measurement Lab, NDT7). Before using this engine the App asks for your consent. IMPORTANT: M-Lab publishes the results of all tests as open data, and published data can include your IP address. M-Lab's data policy: https://www.measurementlab.net/aup/ and privacy information: https://www.measurementlab.net/privacy/ If you do not want your IP address and test result to be published, use the Cloudflare engine. We do not receive or store your test results on our own servers. 3. WEBSITE LATENCY CHECK If you tap "Check" in the website latency feature, the App sends small HTTPS requests (HEAD requests) to popular websites (Google, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Cloudflare) only to measure response time. No personal data is sent by us in these requests, but, like any internet request, those sites can see your IP address. This runs only when you tap the button. 4. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE The following is stored locally on your device only (using the app's private storage) and is not sent to us: - test history (date/time, network type, engine, server location code, download, upload, ping, jitter, data used), - data usage totals, - your optional "plan speed" value, - your selected test engine, theme (dark/light) and consent choices, - the time of the last review request. You can delete your test history and usage totals from the History screen. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. 5. NETWORK STATE The App checks whether you are on Wi-Fi, mobile data or Ethernet (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission) in order to show the connection type and a mobile-data warning. We do not collect your location, Wi-Fi name (SSID) or mobile carrier details. 6. ADVERTISING The App shows ads through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) mediation. Ad formats may include banner, MREC (medium rectangle), interstitial, native and rewarded ads. To serve and measure ads, LevelPlay and its ad network partners may collect and process: - your advertising ID (Google Advertising ID on Android / IDFA on iOS), - IP address and approximate location derived from it, - device and OS information, app information, and ad interaction data. The App requests the Android permission com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID for this purpose. Your choice: On first launch the App asks you to Allow or Don't allow personalized advertising/data processing. Your choice is passed to LevelPlay (as GDPR consent and CCPA "do not sell" signals) before ads start. You can change it at any time from the side menu: Privacy settings. If you decline, ads may still be shown but they will not be personalized, and data sharing is limited as far as the ad network supports. You can also limit ad tracking in your device settings: - Android: Settings > Privacy (or Google) > Ads > Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization. - iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and Apple Advertising settings. Ad provider policies: - Unity / LevelPlay privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy - Google Play services / Google ads: https://policies.google.com/privacy On iOS the App may show the system "App Tracking Transparency" prompt. If you choose "Ask App not to Track", your IDFA is not shared. 7. OTHER FEATURES - Share result: when you share a result, the App creates an image and passes it to the sharing option you select (for example a messaging app). We do not receive it. The image may include a link to the App's store page. - CSV export: creates a file from your local history in the device's temporary storage so you can save or share it. Some exports may be offered after you watch an optional rewarded ad. - In-app review: the App may ask you to rate it using the Google Play / App Store in-app review system. Reviews are handled by Google / Apple, not by us. - Update check: the App may fetch a small configuration file from our website to check whether a required update exists. This request can expose your IP address to our web host, like any web request. We do not use it to identify you. 8. DATA SHARING We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Data is processed by the third parties described above (Cloudflare, M-Lab, Unity LevelPlay and its ad partners, Google/Apple for store services) only for the purposes described. We do not receive or hold personal data from these services about you. 9. DATA RETENTION We do not keep personal data about you on our servers. Local data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Retention by third parties is governed by their own policies linked above (note that M-Lab open data is published and may be retained permanently). 10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us and we will help to resolve it. 11. YOUR RIGHTS Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, delete, correct or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal data. Because we do not store personal data about you on our servers, most of this can be done directly in the App (Privacy settings, delete History) or on your device (reset advertising ID). For data held by third parties (Cloudflare, M-Lab, Unity LevelPlay), please contact them using the links above. You may also contact us with any request. 12. SECURITY Test traffic and website checks use HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect the App, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. 13. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS Third-party services mentioned above may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. 14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at https://albonik.com/privacy-policy/speedtest.txt and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the new policy. 15. CONTACT Developer: Albonik Website: https://albonik.com Email: support@albonik.com
